Dr. Van attended the University of Oregon for his undergraduate degree and was one of two students from his class at Northwestern University Dental School to be selected by the faculty to graduate six months early. Since graduation, he has undergone extensive continuing education, with additional training in such topics as moderate IV sedation, wisdom teeth extraction, and dental implants. He most recently attended an advanced composite hands-on course that allows him to provide a more esthetic and conservative way to give his patients more beautiful front-teeth veneers. He is an active member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Northwest Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Study Club, and the Periodontal Study Club at OHSU. Additionally, Dr. Van constantly evaluates emerging dental methods and technologies in order to provide his patients with the best results in the least invasive manner with a high emphasis on comfort.
Kyle and Hai-Lien Van have four beautiful children, and when he's away from the office, Dr. Van enjoys spending time with his family and attending his kids' extracurricular activities, such as taekwondo and swimming.
Meenakshi Dewan, BDS, DDS, FAGE
Dr. Dewan grew up in India and earned a dental degree at Manipal University, followed by a master's degree in oral surgery at the National University of Singapore. After arriving in the U.S. and working as a dental assistant in Portland, she obtained her doctor of dental surgery degree at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She has also achieved fellowship with the Academy of General Education in India. She tries to stay on the cutting edge of new techniques and the latest products in dentistry by attending continuing education courses and conferences. Recent continuing education has included training in oral surgery, endodontics (root canal treatment), implant restoration, and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder. She is also certified in Invisalign™ and conscious sedation (nitrous oxide). Dr. Dewan's work has been included in such publications as the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and she served as the infection control officer at the University of the Pacific in 2010-11. Her professional memberships include the American and Oregon Dental Association and the Washington County Dental Society.Dr. Dewan likes to practice evidence-based dentistry and believes that “Prevention is better than cure." She enjoys meeting people of various backgrounds and spending time with each patient to develop a personalized oral care plan. Dr. Dewan is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. She and her husband have two young children, and when not spending time with family and friends, she enjoys cooking, shopping, and traveling.
Hyungsup Lee, DMD
Dr. Lee (aka Dr. Sup) was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. He completed his undergraduate studies at Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR, and received his dental degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Dr. Lee's top priorities are to make sure his patients are receiving optimal treatments and to answer all of their questions. He has taken various continuing education courses regarding cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry in order to preserve natural tooth structure as much as possible while restoring teeth to their healthy and natural conditions. He has also taken numerous courses through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Lee is currently a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and Korean American Dental Association.Dr. Lee has been part of various volunteer programs and has provided dental treatments to homeless and underserved people. He married his college sweetheart, Kwon, and has a petite Maltese who is fluffy and extremely playful. She enjoys cuddling and playing with all kinds of balls. Dr. Lee enjoys off-roading around Mt. Hood, playing golf with his wife, stand-up paddling along the coast, and snowboarding in winter. He is also an avid sports fan and a member of the choir at a local Korean church.
