Sedation to Make Your Visit Completely Comfortable
While we work hard to provide a painless experience, some patients still experience anxiety. If this sounds like you, we offer a number of options that may help. The first is intravenous (IV) sedation. We call this method “twilight” sedation, and it will produce a completely relaxed dental visit with no pain or nervousness. You won't be alert to the treatment being done. With this method, we can often take care of your entire procedure in one visit.
In some cases, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas). This sedation is breathed in through a mask that allows you to draw in the medication and encourages a state of calm. Local anesthetic will be administered in connection with nitrous oxide to stop pain in most cases.
Whatever the means, we want you to feel comfortably relaxed throughout your dental procedure.
